The inside of the apartment were very nice and the front desk folks made up for the shortcomings of the management team. Overall, the “no confirmation” on which apartment before check-in will refrain me from selecting this property going forward and will a detriment to our firm using this going forward. Also, the elusive wording around frequency of the housekeeping was a strike against getting a better review.
Specific to customer service – the front desk guys were 10 stars. The management was maybe a 3-4 stars. When we complained the first night, we were told that “well there are some people in the basement”..
Constant mechanical “whirring” sound from up above, as though a washing machine was being used, but it was constant so was something mechanical. As people were allowed to smoke in the courtyard and outer hall ways, our flat always had cigarette smoke smell. No instructions on how to use the washing machine or oven. No privacy as we were on the first floor in the interior so everyone walking past to get to their flats could see into our unit unless we closed the shades, which then resulted in not being able to get any natural light.. Very stressful. Being told 2 days before we were traveling that our original booking was no longer available was unacceptable. We had to do a lot of the leg work to pull things together.
