Some apartment management companies require a deposit which can vary from £100.00 to a few week’s stay and may be charged on arrival or taken as a card pre-authourisation.

 

3. Housekeeping and cleaning

Have you checked the frequency of the cleaning service, it may be daily, a few times a week or less. Also check how often you will recieve a change of linen and towels and bins cleared.

 

4. Bed configuration

There is no standard bed arrangement so some apartments will have double, queen, king, twin beds available and different rooms may have different types of beds, so check this if it is important to your stay. If you are sharing with friends or colleagues you may want to ensure you book apartments with twin beds. In some cases, apartments offer a zip link bed which is a king size bed with the option to become twin beds on request.

 

5. Occupancy and additional guests

Have you checked the maximum number of guests allowed in the apartment you have booked?
If you are staying in a longer term serviced apartment in London you may be thinking of having visitors or relatives come to stay with you.

Remember all apartments have a maximum occupancy for safety and insurance reasons, so you need to check in advance.

 

6. Checking in and Checking out

Long stay apartments and extended stay apartments may not have a reception desk or concierge to hand over the keys, in which case there may be a key safe (codes are provided before your arrival) or a meet and greet service (where an apartment management team member meets you when you arrive).

Make yourself familiar with the check-in times, so that you are not left standing outside the apartment for a long period of time, which is not ideal if you are arriving after a long-haul flight and have lots of luggage. Note: luggage rooms are not always available.

 

7. Accreditations

We would also recommend considering properties or accommodation providers who are independently accredited for their quality, service and health and safety standards so that you can be assured that the serviced apartment you choose meets all necessary regulatory requirements and is committed to delivering a great stay experience.
